RV Rental Joshua Tree Music Festival Camping
Merging its funky desert style with an internationally acclaimed lineup of musical artists, this three day (and four night) family-friendly festival is truly a global music experience. The festival melds the overwhelming spirit of desert freedom, with powerful music from around the world, to create a lighthearted oasis for music lovers. Magically magnificent art installations, a robust Kidsville schedule, the heavily shaded Music Bowl, a full spectrum of yoga classes from sunrise to sunset, 27 different music playshops and didjeridu classes, late night Astronomy theatre, and a World Market further inspire, intrigue and invite festival goers. Discover your new favorite band and dozens of new friends in the shadows of the otherworldly Joshua Tree National Park.
Your festival wristband includes the price of walk-in tent camping. If you’d like to have your car at your camp spot, you’ll need a separate CAR PASS (if your vehicle is 17’ or shorter), or an RV PASS (if your vehicle is 17’ or longer - does not include hookups). Alternately, you can park in DAY PARK (small fee or free for carpoolers with 3+), and walk up into the campground with your gear.
Camping at the festival is on a first come, first served basis (communal festival camping). There are no reservations for physical camping sites (except for RV power sites with hookups). You’re guaranteed at least 12’x12’ of space for tent camping. The campground will fill up, so cozy up to your neighbors. If you’ve spread out an area larger than 12x12, you might be asked to share space as more campers arrive. If you want to camp with friends, we encourage you to arrive together, as roping off areas and saving large spaces for latecomers is unfair to other festival-goers. If you’re saving a small spot for a friend or two, kindly confer with your neighbors.
An info station, aka the Greeter Hut, is located on the left as you enter the campground from the road. When in the campground, this is your go-to spot for medical, security, information, lost and found, or help with anything. Camp greeters will be hanging at the Hut from 8 am to midnight during the festival in addition to rolling around the campground throughout the day/night to make sure all is well. We want your camping experience to be ridiculously fantastical. Really.
For families with children, located in the NW side of the campground. This is a quiet zone after dark, and kids like to make noise in the morning. So if that doesn’t sound like your style, there are acres of other camping space where you can find your tribe.
Once you have your festival wristband, and your vehicle has the all-weekend in-and-out pass, you can come and go from the festival site as you please.
