The ROMP Festival, produced by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum, is gearing up for its 21st year of celebration, scheduled to take place at Owensboro’s Yellow Creek Park from June 26 to June 29, 2024.
Yellow Creek Park, spanning 150 acres, provides a picturesque backdrop for the festival, boasting nature trails, a winding creek, a fishing lake, and scenic tree-lined landscapes.
Throughout the festival, attendees can immerse themselves in a range of activities, including artist-led instrument workshops catering to all ages and skill levels. Workshops cover various topics such as songwriting, clogging, flat-foot dancing, yoga, and bluegrass jamming 101, offering something for everyone.
In addition to workshops, ROMP Festival offers organic and farm-to-table food vendors, craft stalls featuring Kentucky Proud products, art installations, and activities for children led by professionals.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their instruments and participate in jam sessions throughout the weekend. Furthermore, they can dance the night away at the late-night stage, featuring performances by nationally acclaimed acts in the park’s rustic Pioneer Village.
For those interested in attending, artist additions, single-day tickets, vendor applications, and daily schedules will be available soon.
